About this Print
The first of 3 prints based on the marble head of Antinous discovered at Delphi, a dramatic three-quarter profile rendered in Lichtenstein-inspired halftone style. Dark tousled curls cascade against a punchy yellow-and-cyan polka-dot backdrop, while a soft, contemplative gaze and parted lips lend an intimate, almost vulnerable quality to this classical subject. The thick black linework and warm dot-shaded skin tones give the piece bold graphic energy with a vintage comic-book feel.
